Takis Tavern

Loved this opportunity to eat some authentic Cypriot food. We ate here as part of a tour and it was well chosen as the food was a taster menu with white wine.

Absolutely stumbled upon this gem of a Greek tavern in the village. Meze dishes stole the show like the pork ribs, sheftalia, salad, halloumi and red wine were all top-notch. A delightful unexpected find!

Delicious local food . The atmosphere is nice and warm, and green. The owner was explaining what was inside each dish he was bringing to our table, how it was cooked. It was an amazing experience . The owner also advised us on places to visit around Vouni.

We visited this exceedingly friendly and truly authentic family tavern as part of a pre-booked Tui tour recently. I have had mixed similar experiences in the past (in other countries) - but I can comfortably state that this was without the best one to date.A friendly host and a wide range of delicious food was provided throughout. Much more than we expected - but with the all-important quality to match the quantity.A short walk down a relatively steep, narrow street to access - but well worth it (and also of course the unavoidably "climb" back up the same street afterwards!).Highly recommended, regardless of if you are passing this village - or considering it as a part of a similar "day tour" from an operator etc. A gem!

Amazing food and cozy tavern in the middle of Vouni village! Walking distance to everything in the village, with traditional interior! We went for a Sunday lunch, with great live music and warm atmosphere. Definitely recommended !
